even a girls shampoo will do
Whats the best shampoo for a guy. just for volume and healthy. and for normal hair. and to use everyday?
Suave. Its cheap and it works really good.
even a girls shampoo will do
Suave. Its cheap and it works really good.
As cold as you can stand. it makes the hair cuticles lie flat and gives the hair a more shiny appearance.
Lukewarm followed by cool rinse.
warm hot
cold water doesn't harm the hair, or at least warm water is ok.
The best temp. For hair is in fact cold water if you do have your hair dyed.. If not warm waters fine too
cold water
warm water is healthier, especially when apply something on your hair, coz warm water open the pores of your scalp, and anything you apply on your scalp may be more effective than cold water.
normal water
never ever use hot water on ur hairs.it is not at all good for ur hairs .well luekewarrm water is nice n u can also use cold water or the water at normal temperature
cold water or luke warm at the most. Hot water washes all the nutrients away and dries your hair out.
Hope this helps
xXx :)
hot water is very harsh on ur hair..always use lukewarm water to rinse of shampoo and then use cold water to rinse ur hair again
Hot water dries hair out.
I have heard that a warm wash followed by a nice cool rinse is really good for your hair.
The temperature of the water does not matter as far as heslthiness of the hair. The purpose of the water is to either take the product out or make it stay in. What I mean by this is you wash your hair with war,/hot water because it gets all of the debri out of youe hair and then when you conditon your hair and wash it out you wash the conditioner out with cold water because this allows the conditioner to penetrate into the cuticle of the hair therefore serving as a buffer and doing what it is supposed to do
my hair is too week and thin,,,, i have used many vitamins and nothing happend what sould i do to make it thicker and healthy??
doc.miracle
Work on getting yourself healthy all over. As well as the genetic tendency to hair thickness, the hair is a barometer for the rest of your well being. If you don't have a weight problem use lots of olive oil in your cooking, olive oil feeds the skin and hair ( and it tastes great too)
use da head%26amp;shoulder....
It depends what you do to your hair. If you straighten it or curl it you might want to put silk protection on your hair before so it doesn't fry your hair. If you colour your hair then try using a shampoo for coloured hair. If you have hair that tangles easily, use extra conditioner and detangler. And to make your hair healthier and silkier, wooden soft bristle brushes work wonders. But as for the thickness, you can't really change that. It's not like you can grow more hair. good luck. hope i helped.
Hair is mostly protein. But sometimes we are just a victim of our family genes. If I were you I'd consult a hairdresser to determine if your treatment is making things worse, and find out what kind of Rogaine for gals is available.
Wash your hair with selsun blue 3 times a week and use doctor miracles hair products. Make sure you wear your hair in a wrap when you go to bed and make sure you do not apply too much heat to your hair.
Natural and healty. the best is try egg on your hair. at least 4 hours a week.
Have Garbanzo (Chickpea) on your food. (see Indian).
Have fresh hot pepper with your food. (see mexican pp.).
You can hardly find an Indian or Mexican with week hair or bald head.
Don't shampoo more than twice a week, Don't think a lot.
Good Luck...
use castor oil(u can buy it in a pharmacy)
its the best and do not use any chemical treatment
Keep massaging the scalp applying pure almond oil everyday before going to bed or as many times as possible. This will improve blood circulation. Avoid using strong shampoo. I would suggest some herbal shampoo from good company. After shampoo use almond oil. But remember no oil with chemical fragrances. Please try this for two to three months, it will help. You may continue to take the vitamins. I am male but I tried and it has helped me a lot. In fact my mother at the age of 87 + year is still having 99% black and thick hairs and she applies coconut oil only, nothing else.
well its got to be in your genetics
What other people have said is al good.
But also, don't use commercial products like Pantene, Head and Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Sunsilk.
Go to a professional salon and buy their products.
It's pricey, but it works.
Also, do deep conditioning treatments once a week,
but I want it to be same color all over. One six inch stripe from front to back is so much whiter....what can I do to blend it or make it all the same?
Does lemon juice make it white or yellow?
Try Schwarzkopf Touch Of Silver shampoo and conditioner that should give you the same colour all over. The lemon juice might work short term but it will dry your hair out very quickly.
Do you want a medal or what?
Hey,
I have experimented with my hair a lot, with all kinds of highlights, different variations of black, light brown etc...I also used to use blow-drying a lot (like every morning).
For the past 5 months have not coloured it,neither used blow-dryer, but had all kinds of hair masks, expensive conditioners etc...now it kinda looks better, but my hair used to b straight, and now is kinda weavy, because its dry now. Is there any way I can keep them always straight without an iron?
I use it when I go partying (like 1-2 times a week),but on the other days just let it dry out naturally, which does not look as good. Or should I just be patient and wait till my natural hair will grow out?It will last for a long time though...and I want to have quiet long hair!
I am also going to Ibiza in 3 weeks, which means my hair will be wavy all the time because of the sea, and damaged more because of the sun and saulty sea...any way I can protect my hair and keep it straight same time?thanks
First of all you need a good trim to get the damaged end off, this will make your hair healthier and grow faster. My hair is wavy also and I cant keep it straight so I just opt for a loose curl. I suggest going into a salon, get the trim and some good professional advice while you are there.
the sun, heat, and dye jobs can really take a tole on your hair. the best way to bring it back to life, or so i've learned, is to just wash and condition with a super-gentle shampoo daily. don't put any products or spray in it and let it dry naturally. if it is wavy, put your hairdryer on the lowest setting, not 'cool' but not really hot. dry your hair and use a barrel brush to sort of 'straighten' it up while it's drying.
best of luck =]
Look i know that many people may say that u need to use this kind of hair cream or another my advise for u is simple use virgin olive oil use approx 2 tea spoon after each shower dry ur hair well and than take the oil rube it on both your hands %26amp; than massage ur hair with it olive oil has to many nutritions that give ur hair back its shine it may seems crasy but ask about it I know it works.

i want thick full hair...i know some indians that put baby oil on their babies hair, so maybe its' that? but i know baby oil is bad for hair/ indian girls please tell me ur secret
I'm white, but I've always had long hair, usually around my waist. Even if I cut it to my shoulders, it will be back at my waist in less than a year.
My aunt who does hair tells me that I am just very lucky that my hair grows fast, but I'll tell you what I do. I take hair vitamins, you can get them at any pharmacy or a store like GNC. I use hair products with fruit acids in them - Garnier Fructese is the best in my opinion. Fruit acids really do strengthen your hair, it's not just hype. Most importantly, I almost never blow-dry or heat style my hair, with the exception of a quick blow with a round brush on my bangs. My hair is naturally straight as a board, so I guess that helps. I can even color my hair a couple of times a year with no ill effects (never bleach, just color), but heat-styling on a regular basis is a big no-no.
I know a lot of Asian women, and they all pretty much just let their hair dry naturally the way I always have. It makes a big difference.
we indins don't use chemicals, but use natural stuff.......oil our hair EVERYDaY!and wash our hair once a week!
hahaa i agree with the person in front of me
but i havee to put oil in it
and somee of it is natural
gahh
i hatee my hair
its indian hair[[im indian]]
and its so freakin thick and wavy
Its in their genes I suppose.
The filipinos have very long healthy hair as well. In fact I think their texture and quality is far better than the indian hair. The filipinos believe that the longer a woman's hair, the more beautiful the woman is. The indians usually oil their hair as they believe it encourages hair growth and it cleans their hair after you wash it out. But if your oil your hair, make sure you wash your hair daily as leave in oil makes your hair appear stale and actually does more harm than good to the follicles when left for a long time.
Always let it dry naturally, don't use straight irons or curling irons. Oil it every day with coconut oil and don't wash it too often. Keep it braided or in a bun (to protect it from damage) almost all the time. Henna is good for conditioning and strengthening, and adds a red tint to hair.

Taking the right vitamins and supplement in your daily diet would help hair growth, you also need to have head massage for proper blood circulation in the scalp.
actually hair cant be healthy. its dead tissue. sorry.
Make sure that when you're washing ur hair, the shampoo is all over your head!(From tip to end)...
Oh, you will need to have a hair nourisher...Remember that...
It's very important for a healthy long hair. B'coz most of long hairs' hev a spilt end.. To prevent that, hair nourisher please...
hehe...^^...
Trust me, i hev experience a long hair of a waist-length...
Good Luck n all the best.
This is a great problem especially with women. In such cases they should rub the nails of eight fingers against each other for 10 to 15 minutes daily. For better results, it is advised that rubbing of nails may be done five minutes in the morning and five minutes before retiring. Moreover, take Acupressure treatment on points 8, 11 to 15 and treatment to remove excess heat from the body as mentioned below :
(a) Take as first thing in the morning 1 teaspoonful of haritki churna (harde powder-powder of terminalia chebula retz)+1/2 teaspoon of sugar for 8 to 10 days continuously, then twice a week. This will also keep the bowels clean.
(b) Soak powder of 15 balck pepper + 2 teaspoonful of (preferably crystal) sugarl in 1 %26amp; 1/2 glass of water. Blend them and sip all as first thing in morning for 10 days. After 10 days add 5 almonds to the blending and drink it for fruther 10 days.
Hair is continuously growing and is being shed simultaneously. Home made beauty recipes based on herbs and natural ingredients help improve hair growth. my hair is soooo slow it wont grow i been trying to grow it for like 2 years
Prenatal vitamins will help your hair and nails to grow fast and healthy. I know...it sounds crazy! I didn't believe it until I started taking them when I was pregnant and it really works. My sister still takes hers and her son is 9 mos old. It is natural and not expensive.
Good Luck!!
If you eat more protein(beans, red meat), your hair and nails should both benefit.
Good Luck!!!!
Try Dr.Miricles It worked great for my hair
theres this stuff called super grow! Its in the african american hair section of pretty much any store! theres a few different kinds of it! Its really like grease.......if you straighten your hair after you wash it, take a few dabs of it (not too much) and rub it all through your hair, try not to get alot on the roots but get some it will make it greasy if you get too much! Then just blow dry and style normally! It works really good! I use it all the time!!!
read tips on haircare and more to help you better on this site
it's been over 3 years since i first relaxed it. I wanna know what the best relaxers are and what products can I use to make my hair return to its healthy state? thanks
I dont know how often you relax but you should try and stretch your relaxers to every 2.5-3 months. Motions and Organic Root Stimulator makes a really good relaxer, so try those when you go in for your next touch up.
Little manipulation is key for black hair, try not combing and brushing it so much. Wear your hair in protective styles, styles that need little to no combing and that do not involve the hair rubbing against the clothes which causes breakage and shedding. Each week you should deep condition, alternate between a protein conditioner(help build and strengthen damaged weak hair) and a moisturizing conditioner(adds needed moisture). Let your hair air dry as much as possible and stay away from heat accessories like blow dryers and flat-irons if you can. I actually stopped using shampoo on my hair and now just use the baking soda and ACV washes or co-wash(conditioner wash) and my hair is doing just fine. If you like using shampoo than I would suggest creme of nature ultra moisturizing formula.
On the days you are not washing just spray/apply a leave-in conditioner or spray with a light moisturizer.
Protein conditioners:
Organic root stimulator Hair mayonnaise
Olive Oil replenishing Pak
Moisturizing Conditioners:
Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask
wow.... i didnt know hair could be kinky....does it liked to be spanked...
wearing it in protective styles like cornrows (not too tight!), buns, twists, under a wig, etc.
deep conditioning at least once a week and maybe using some kind of protein. if your hair is breaking off a lot, try aphogee every once in a while.
taking a multivitamin, drinking lots of water, and eating a healthy diet can do wonders.
don't shampoo often, or you can eliminate it complete and just clarify (i`ll explain later), but you can conditioner wash (use only water %26amp; conditioner) every day if necessary.
if you use a lot of products, you can remove build-up by using a clarifyer. you can buy one or you can just use apple cider vinegar.
use a leave-in conditioner on your hair after you get out of the shower and seal in the moisture with an oil like jojoba, coconut, grapeseed, or sweet almond (all available at gnc)
http://www.longhaircareforum.com
Stop relaxing immediately. Deep condition at least once a week and take vitamins
I dunno I've just dyed and straightend my hair way too many time and now my ends are all split and my hair looks like crap.
Any at home advice ???
hey, make a paste.
take mustard oil, egg yolk and honey.
now first add the mustard oil in the egg yolk in a bowl and then add 1-2 tabelspoon(s) of honey.
apply this paste in your scalp and the left over all over your hair. leave it for 20-30 mins and then wash it off with a good shampoo and if you like conditioner too.
use this paste once or twice a week.
Also you can oil your hair everyday with mustard oil and take a bath!
believe me, this really works! even for the split ends!
good luck!
Rub some olive oil in your hair and then wrap it up in a soft towel.
Brush your hair a lot
my hair is like that too. what i did was just cut off all the deadends/split ends and to stop straightening or curling your hair if you do that so it will grow. once it grows it will become healthier.
I use tresemme it's great, I am always getting compliments on my hair, though I have never dyed my hair.
hi honey
rub your hair with coconut oil 3 times a week .. massage your scalp with your finger tips.. leave it for 2 hours then wash it .. let your hair dry naturally .. after that put a little of a hair moisturizer ...
your hair will grow to be a shining ,, long .. healthy hair .. but .. give it some time to see the results ..
:)
You can do 2 types of things:
1. Externally - deep condition weekly. If you can, use high quality products like "Pureology." I have had 3 different hair shades in one year and that stuff has helped me keep my hair, lol!
Trim your hair every 4-6 weeks (until your hair is healthier, then you can wait up to 8 weeks). Avoid too much heat styling. Use a leave in conditioner and slow down on coloring.
2. Internally - Take your multivitamins and b-complex and have a balanced diet. If you are not eating well, its shows. Your skin and hair tell the story.
Good luck, gorgeous!
cut off a little bit each month and it show grow alot more also dont strgithen it everyday if u do use a thing that puts mousture back into you hir. Itll look great in no time!

Yes as calcium is a protein, your hair is made up of protein called keratin the same protein found in your nails.keratin has very large molecules made up of smaller units called amino acids, joined together in chains like beads on a string.
Hair also contains fats, pigment (melanin), small amounts of vitamins, and traces of zinc and other metals.
protein does idk bout calcium..........i'm sure it can't hurt tho
yes
matrix
Matrix is good for hair color/professional services. But sexy hair is also equally good for at home products like hairspray and all that. Biosilk is also a pretty good line as well. I've never gotten dandruff or allergies from either of these companies products. And Big Sexy Hair hairspray leaves my hair soft the next day. Good stuff.
actually i would like to have long hair but my hair dosen't grow, they r too thin also i really want to have long hair, plz suggest me something nice by which i can have good, long and healthy hair plz help.my dreamis to have long hair till my waist.at least.
Baldness, hair grow %26amp; regrow formula
8 oz. avocado oil
30 gram rosemary
5 drops peppermint oil
mix these three ingredients
you can either place them in a glass container (heat resistant) and place in an oven for 20 minutes at 300 deg F OR place in a dark colored glass bottle and store a dark place for 6 weeks
once you have completed the above step, strain the oil to remove the rosemary
(use cheese cloth or similar cloth and squeeze the extra oil out)
once you have strained the oil you can massage one teaspoonful into your scalp three times a day
store the unused portion in a dark colored bottle in a cool dark place (not cold), you can store it for up to 3 months
eat alot of jello, it will not only make your hair grow but also your nails.
Too healthy? No.
But be careful - too much of a good thing CAN be a bad thing. If you are taking good care of your hair, and end up with split ends, you could be doing too much.
If you use conditioner too much (more than about twice a week) your hair will get very dry and damaged, so watch out. Maybe your hair isn't too healthy after all.
Please smack the living crap out of whoever told you that. The answer is NO!!!
I wouldn't think so, if anything, it'll grow faster.
wut things do u use on your hair like
for example: shampoos, conditioners, hair products? :) just name the
routine you do for your hair. thnx!
Hair is made of protein. You need a healthy diet and lifestyle (I really believe stress will cause hair to thin and break.) Use a silk pillow case or scarf. (Cotton blends catch and pull at hair during the night.) I use Pantene, KeraCare, and Cholesterol products on my hair. I don't use the same products all the time...every now and then wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo that will get rid of buildup that causes your hair to look dull and limp. I wet set my hair and air dry most times, but when in a rush or during cold weather I sit under the hair dryer. I don't like to put a lot of heat on my hair. One thing that will snap your hair off quick is blowdrying and curling/straigtening irons.
thans! luv

Use and Oil massage.
Use light Olive oil or Coconut oil and warm it a up a little.Massage it onto your scalp.Leave it on for half and hour and then rinse.Shampoo with a mild shampoo ( i like Pantene)
Avalon is also good (herbal)
Then use a very good conditioner mask.Leave it on for 3 mins. Then rinse.
Someone also told me that applying mashed banana to your hair makes it soft.
i put baby oil on my hair, it makes my hair look shiny!!!!!! be careful to not put to much on your hair!!!!!!!!
dog sht and apple sauce
I use Tresemme Anti-Breakage Shampoo and the conditioner, then when I get out of the shower, I put on the Dove Moisture Therapy spray. It's in a blue bottle. It keeps my hair really soft. I also use the Tresemme daily leave in conditioning spray, and then I blow dry my hair using a brush. It comes out really soft and shiny. I also don't wash my hair every day... I wash it every 2 days.
I love the Biolage line...its great and makes my hair feel wonderful......but i also never dye my hair and i hardly put any product in my hair (hairspray, straightening gel, ETC)
I get compliments on my hair every where i go, girls and guys love to run their fingers through it......oh and I change to a different shampoo and conditioner every time i run out and need more!!

I would go and get my ends trimmed regularly ...then I would do some at home deep conditioning. You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a good "deep" conditioner you can either get it in packs or a jar of it ...i would recommend getting a jar ..and its not really expensive and get a pack of processing caps. Then I would wash my hair then apply a generous amount of conditioner and then put on a processing cap then take a thin damp towel and microwave it for 35-45 seconds and wrap it around your hair. I would leave this on for an hour or longer if you want just remember to keep reheating the towel. Then when you are done rinse really well and at the end of the rinse turn the water to cold and rinse really quick in just cold water. I would do this two or three times a week if time will allow it . Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy and remember to get your hair trimmed and try and let your hair air dry whenever you can and your hair will start to get healthy again. And when your ready you can still use your flat iron and things just remember to do a deep conditioning at least once a week even once your hair gets healthy.....
Hope this was helpful ~~
Good Luck ~~
You can good a good deep conditioning treatment or jar at Sally's and it isn't expensive and make sure you ask the clerk there that it is a color safe product, i feel certain it will be but you never know. I try alot of the home remedies and most of them work.....just be careful if you try them because a few of them did lightened my color ... :(
a few years ago migraine meds made my hair fall out .. nothing worked.. not even the rogain for women.. i saw the pantene pro-v restoratives time renewal.. for damaged hair.. it stopped the hair loss and bulked my thin hair .. almost over night.. after i finished the first tube of shampoo and conditioner of time renewal i used the restorative breakage.. and that really made it healthy.. no split ends..
my hair is long and healthy again.. i use garnier fructis now that my hair is healthy again .. and i am truly amazed!!! :D its in better condition than ever before.
The ultimate truth is that for hair to grow longer, we have to eat healthy, exercise adequately, reduce stress and most important sleep well. Include B-complex, B6, and vitamin C, E to make up for any deficiencies. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co... will help you.
just wondering what ppl have to say and how often do you wash yours? i workout a lot so i wash mine every other day. im not sure if thats good. what do you think??
Every other day is best, so all the product doesn't damage your hair. If you have problems with it being greesy or smelling then just rinse it with water inbetween shampooing days
Every second or third day, I wash my hair.
i wash my hair every day and shampoo it like every 3 days
i wash my hair EVERY day. no matter what. and my hair is very healthy.
either every day or if u forget every other day is fine to
hope i helped you
I wash every other day, but it gets oily very quickly. I would say for normal hair, every other day or every 3 days is fine.
I wash my hair, every second day, and I deep
Condition once in every two weeks.
If you wash and shampoo everyday, It'll dry
out your hair.
my hairdresser tells me with m shampoo to wash my hair every three days..and im parannoyed because ..my school runs on sunlight and u see everything...so i'm scared my haircan be greasy. so i washed my hair every day now. but i changed my shampoo. that is okay for everyday use.
it depends on ur shampoo.
i work out a lot i like staying in shape so i wash mine every morning and also my hair gets greasy if i don't wash it every day.
i wash mine everyday with shampoo %26amp; conditioner. its not dead at all. :]
if your have dry hair wash it everyother day and condition it from the ears down
if you have oily wash it every day and condition everyother day from the ears down.
if your hair is regular or in between, wash it about 5 times a week and condition whenever you want from the ears down.
if you sweat alot wash it every day. but if itts dry you shouldnt shampoo it everyday.
I use shampoo and conditioner everyday. I have oily hair and it's unbarable if I don't shower that day. I'm a teenager so i'm sure my hair will eventually be better. But I think it really depends on you and your hair.
Everyday for me. I don't see why it would stink, though, because of the fragrances from the shampoo/conditioners. I workout too, so yes, I wash every night, and I don't see anything wrong with it. :D hope I helped
i think it all depends on wht kind of hair yu got.
if yu got them white girl hair, then washing yur hair evryday is nothin.
but if yu got black ppl hair, who need professionals to do their hair, they usually get their hair washed whenever they go to the hair salon, usually every 2 weeks.
but if ppl dont mind how their hair look, washing hair evry 2 or 3 days is fine.
so basically, there is no rule or limit on how often yu got to wash yur hair
I wash my hair every day.
I use Back to Basics shampoo, which is the most hair-friendly. It has no chemicals or additives. You can find it at Beauty Brands..
To me, I think it depends on the person and their hair.
My hair can't take washing every 2 days. I used to do that, but my hair changed from very silky to dry and frizzy. So i got my silky hair back when i washed it every 5-7 days. my hair is NOT smelly, greasy, or anything like that between those days.
my friend, however, has to wash it every day! it gets greasy quickly. (ew...)
my sister and mom wash their hair every other day or every 3rd day. their hair is very short.
everyone is different, and we just have to accept that. maybe your hair can take washing every other day, i don't know. but maybe you should test out after how many days you should wash your hair to see which is best for you. :)
I want healthy long hair right now my hair is one fourth inch below my shoulder and i want it about below my boob but my hair is very damaged
Do not brush your hair while it is wet. Hair is the most prone to stretching and breaking while it is wet.
After you shampoo, apply conditioner %26amp; then gently comb out your hair with a wide tooth comb before your rinse out the conditioner. Run water through your hair gently - don't swirl it %26amp; twist it. Then gently gather sections to squeeze out the water.
Use a super absorbent microfiber towel to press the remaining moisture in your hair after you get out of the shower. Spray on a leave in conditioner %26amp; comb out your hair again w/ a wide tooth comb if necessary. Start at the bottom %26amp; work your way upwards to remove any tangles.
The microfiber towel is more absorbent than a conventional terry cloth towel so it will help your hair air dry faster.
Only brush your hair while it is dry %26amp; use brushes w/ smooth tipped bristles that are widely spaced to avoid tearing your hair.
Avoid styles that pull your hair tight. Use smooth hair elastics and barrettes.
Avoid using styling products w/ a lot of alcohol; stick to ones w/ alcohol lower down on the ingredients list.
Joico K-Pak conditioner is the best for damaged, dry hair. It can be used as a deep treatment mask or as a daily conditioner.
Run a drop of jojoba oil through the ends of your hair. It will add a bit of sheen %26amp; makes a good leave in conditioner. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic %26amp; washes out easily.
Trim split ends.Section %26amp; pin your hair. Take each section one by one, twist %26amp; trim off split ends that stick out. Use small scissors, ex) cuticle or baby scissors.
Allow your hair to air dry as often as possible. Some style alternatives:

Make a ponytail more elegant by wrapping a section of hair around the elastic %26amp; securing it w/ a pin to conceal it. You can also section the ponytail and curl each section loosely to add more interest.

Trim up all those dead-ends!! Start by taking vitamins. Then do a weekly condition treatment. Some salons you can get them for $7-$20. Try not to blow dry, straighten or use any products on your hair. Good Luck
you gotta cut the damaged part. period! deep condition your hair. and recut your hair every 2 months... eventually it'll grow out healthy. I did that and my hair was beautiful! until i bleached it and F*cked it all up! lol but you have to cut it ever 2 months at the very least.. get all the split ends and dont blow dry tooo often, no curling irons every day especially no straightners
well i heard that if you crushed birth control pills and put it in you sampoo the harmones would make your hair grow thicker
Trim it to get rid of split ends and just remember that hair always grows back!!! Use conditioner when you wash your hair also. It makes hair really soft and shiny! lol
you coudl get a haircut and start over w/ your hair. i know that could be hard beacuse i lnow some one that has split ends a the to of their head but i suggest cutting it andnot using heating styling tools.
Try a shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair, use olive oil in your hair once a month as a deep conditioning treatment, get ends trimmed every 8 weeks, use a wide tooth comb instead of a brush, dont use rubber band elastics use loose cotten ones instead.

The Most Important Things to Know About Healthy Hair Diet
The beauty of hair is a direct manifestation of internal health. How and what we eat determines our hair. It鈥檚 essential to get proper nutrients directly from the foods that we eat. Healthy hair diet is very important. Eating a healthy, balanced diet is necessary for the health and beauty of your hair! Great nutrition is the most effective way of getting awesome hair...
Paying attention to nutrition will help to beat bad hair days.
Having healthy hair requires well-balanced diets that incorporate proteins and vitamins B, C, E, A and K.
Hair instantly responds to the addition of protein rich foods such as meats, eggs, cheese, seeds and nuts.
Protein
Protein is the building block of hair. Hair is 88 percent protein. Protein will give the shaft of your hair more strength, and will reduce the probability of damage.
Vitamin B
The B vitamins are necessary for healthy hair. Lack of B vitamins can lead to oily hair conditions.
Sources: green vegetables, beans, sunflower seeds, nuts and peas.
Vitamin C
It strengthens the immune system, and assists in metabolizing B vitamins and amino acids into the body. Lack of vitamin C can cause dry hair.
Sources: oranges, lemons, limes, melons, berries, red peppers, kale, cauliflower, tomatoes and cucumbers.
Vitamin A
Vitamin A is important for the health of your scalp. A lack of it can lead to dry hair.
Sources: carrots, sweet potatos, squash, broccoli, cantaloupe or apricot.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E provides lots of benefits for growing vibrant hair.
Sources: avocado, rice bran, nuts, dark green vegetables, legume and whole grains.
Vitamin K
Vitamin K helps to maintain healthy hair
Sources: seafood, dairy food, fig, brewer yeast, asparagus, broccoli, lettuce, cabbage, dark green leafy vegetables, egg yolk, oatmeal, rye, soybean, liver, wheat and yogurt.
Iron
Healthy hair needs iron in the body. Iron is needed to help carry oxygen to the hair. Without enough iron, hair gets starved for oxygen.
Sources: eggs, fish, liver, oysters, meat, poultry, whole grains, green leafy vegetables and blackstrap molasses.
Magnesium
Magnesium deficiencies lead to hair problems.
Sources: meat, fish, fruit, nuts, brewer鈥檚 yeast, whole grains and green-leafy vegetables.
Copper
Copper is needed for hair structure and is involved in the pigmentation of hair.
Sources: milk, bread and green vegetables.
Zinc
A lack of zinc can lead to hair loss. Zinc is necessary for building hair protein.
Sources: oysters, peas, pulses, haricot beans, butter and kidney.
Water
Water is important for hair. Water makes up one-fourth of the weight of a strand of hair. Moisture makes the hair supple and helps keep your hair silky and shiny. Eight to ten glasses of water a day are absolutely necessary to nourish healthy hair.
Essential Fats (EFAs)
Healthy hair also needs two essential fatty acids, omega-3 and omega-6, that are not produced naturally by the human body.
Omega-3 fats sources: flax oil, algae, cold-water fish, dark-green vegetables, hemp oil and pumpkin seed oil
Omega-6 fats sources: borage, evening primrose oil, safflower oil, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, corn and pumpkin seeds.
Cold-pressed vegetable oils are also essential to a hair healthy diet. Lack of these oils causes dull, lifeless hair along with parched, rough skin.
To supplement your diet, you should consider taking a daily vitamin-mineral supplement formulated for hair.
Foods and bad habits that harm your hair
Eating dead food can lead to lifeless hair. These are sugars, chocolate, cakes, cookies, starches, soft drinks, and snacks.
Caffeine, alcohol, nicotine and recreational drugs destroy important hair growing nutrients.
Vitamin K is good for hair and nail growth.
Im not to sure but there arnt many foods that will make your hair grow longer.
eat lots of jello and protein like meat and tofu.
drink 8 glasses of water a day
A multi vitamin a day should help.
Extreme Biotin 1500mcg once a day it promotes healthy hair, skin and nails you can find it a Walgreen's, WalMart, CVS
A healthy diet for your hair to grow is to drink water, wash your hair and grease your hair so you won't get split ends and condition it and brush it.
Eat lots of bread.
Don't condition every day, drink lots of water, and eat lots of vitamin a
nail and hair vitamans and alot of calcium in your diet if you dont like pills and lots of protiens
its weird but if you trim your hair on the full moon it helps it grow longer
how would i make my hair more healthy so i dont have to cut it again! i want to grow out my hair...? my hair is kinda thin, and smooth, and a little frizzy
once your hair is damaged then it stays damaged...your only option is cut off the dead ends and find a good treatment to keep the rest of your hair healthy....everyone eventually has to trim off dead ends....then you gradually grow out the new and keep getting rid of the bad....
Use a damage repair shampoo/conditioner and hair spray
baby oil
Go to a salon and talk to them. Or a good Beauty Supply place.
There are lots of treatments, but there's no way someone can tell what's going on w/o seeing your hair!
(I like Sephora's, but I don't know if they have that near you? Sally's Beauty Supply is my second choice.)
Find a nice, nutrient full shampoo, and avoid any extreme styling (specially straightening). Also, use after-shower leave in conditioners. I use the Sleek and Shine system from Garnier Fructise (Shampoo, conditioner, Sleek and shine Anti- Frizz serum, and Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner.) You might want to use something more intense. Avoid 2-in-1 shampoos and conditioners.
Try to find a product called Cholesterol (in the ethnic aisle at wal-mart) it comes in a big tub, towel dry your hair and put a good amount of it in your hair and then leave it in for as long as you want even overnight. Then just wash it out and you will notice a big difference immediately. If your ends are split you need to at least get those trimmed off, no conditioner will repair split ends.Hope this helps
You hair is already dead. it is made out of dead skin cells and keratin. If you use a starightner, iron or anything that can damage your hair then use a serum that prevents frying at the ends which cause spilt ends and your hair wont grow.
Well, you can fix it by using some special shampoo and conditioner that suits your hair. Also cut the ruined parts and be careful with it. Don't use too much hairspray and gel.
Most of the people in my family have really thick, healthy hair when they're younger, but they lose hair earlier than they should; around middle age. I've been straightening my hair a lot, and it just occurred to me that it might be harmful and cause my hair to fall out even earlier. Does anyone know if it does affect it?
it could make the hair week and it will fall off not at the root it will just break off.
It most certainly does. The absolute worst thing for hair.........is HEAT.
There is something called FIA
FLAT IRON ABUSE
you can damage the hair follicle permanently by over straightening your hair.....
I talk about it a lot..........
www . killerstrands . blogspot . com
I think that what you do to your hair on the outside doesn't affect anything on the inside hairs are just dead cells so by straightening your hair a lot the only think your doing is burning it if your going to keep straightening it that much just be sure to buy one of those sprays you put on before you straighten your hair so you wont burn it that much, also you said it has hap pend in your family so maybe its just a heredity thing.
the straghteners wont affect the thinning of your hair but they are very damaging unless you are using the correct products to match your straightners.
hair thins with age and most families have the same growth pattern, if your hair starts to fall out go to your pharmacy-they can recommend a product for your own hair type. :)
i dont think so, too much washing dries out the scalp and i think you end up with a lot more headaches.
Yes i wash my hair just about every single day. BUT I only shampoo it twice a week but rinse and condition it everyday! And the answer about drying out your scalp n getting more headaches? I never heard of that. i work with headache patients everyday so don't worry about that one I don't think it will cause you any problems.
Washing your hair every day can cause it to be very dry. If you do, you need to use a conditioner. But is it healthy.....sure...why not?
I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and no it is not healthy to wash your hair every day because you will dry out all the natural oils. It will become dry and brittle and you will start to lose your hair.
Gloria(BSYA)
I use Gatsby hard hold gel, about 4-5 times a week.
Well use a non-toxic gel and use hair products to keep your hair healthy mate, also eat less sweets and chocolate as they do allot of damage to your body, especially hair and skin and eat either things rich in vitamin B6+12 or take the tablets, and also, don't use loads of gel unless you really have to..I'm not much better i gotta straiten my hair lol =P
The gel damages your hair. It weighs it down and the chemicals in it damage your hair follicles. Try not using as much or none at all. If your having to use to achieve the style you like, you could ask a hair stylist if there is a way to get the style you like w/o damaging your hair that bad.
Gel can damage it. Pretty much stay away from gel with alcohol it'll dry your hair out. Never comb hair with gel in it while its dry because it can cause it to break off since gel bonds hairs together. Wet your brush or slightly dampen your hair before combing or brushing it
Trim the dead ends off every two to four weeks, use a good shampoo and conditioner - I love Panteene Pro-V or the Brilliant (Brunette, Blonde, Redhead) collection. Leave the conditioner in for 2-5 minutes depending on how badly damaged your hair is and make sure you rinse for at least 60 seconds. When you rinse your hair rinse in cold water for a few seconds this locks in the natural shine :-)
wash it with pantene shampoo and conditioner. all the time and brush it constantly
sorry, i am bald
i even had a haircut lady mess up my hair . and now i look like an emo/punk ( no offense ) .... AND ... i want it to be straight and healthy w/o using harmful chemicals... wat should i do ? HELP ME !!
go buy a flatteneing curling iron. it is easy and won't hurt your hair.
There are natural relaxers. but if even that is to much just use a Flat iron and some spray gel, my daughter is mixed and we straighten her hair all the time. We tried the chemical relaxer and it didn't take...But we are going to try another.
Use a hair hydrogen hair-straightener so it doesnt dry out ur hair. Or hair-straitening serum, harmless stuff. My g/f uses it.
Wavy hairs is caused by the sulphur molecules in your hair protein being bonded together. To straighten it you need to break these chemical bonds, like chemicals or heat. That about the only practical option.
use a frizease syrum, it works well
Use an iron bar; but treat your hair with natural oil every week to keep your hair healthy and strong. don't use it when your hair is wet.
I am trying to grow my hair long and I want to know which vitamins and minerals I will need a lot of to make my hair grow healthy and long... And also, if you know the vitamins I need, can you tell me in which foods I can find them in large amounts?
Thanks!
Biotin is a good supplement to take if you're looking to grow out your nails and hair. It is found mostly in dairy products and seafood.
I take this vitamin called hns for hair nails and skin made by a company called pharmanex. They are supposed to be the best on the market. I have been taking them for two years and have noticed the difference ever since. You can order them by calling 480.694.6222 Report It
Vitamin C and calcium!! You need lotsa milk, or just buy a cheap multivitamin from a ?$ store!

Since hair reflects the overall health of a person, vitamin supplements or fresh food containing the vitamins should be part of the daily diet. Vitamin B complex, biotin and carotene (contained in
carrots, yellow fruits and vegetable) are important..More cheap and natural remedies for hair growth at

Take her to the doctor now no joke..
mabye cancer or just bald spots but to make sure go to the doctor now and hope that all goes well keep me updated
docz
AAAAHHHHHH tell her to get her a** to the doctor NOW!! what if she has cancer! holy sh*t!!
Has she had her thyroid checked? It can make her hair fall out if its not working right.
It sounds like a hormone or thyroid problem, especially with the headaches! She needs to speak to her doctor and stop worrying about which hair dye to use right now. Her problem sounds like a medical issue. PLEASE ask her to see the doctor.
ya it works great for dyed hair too
well not exactly; it doesnt make your hair that shiny ; but yes it does cure dried scalp and does make dandruff go away; but it might be possible to make your hair that shiny but most likely ehh not really
but u should definatley try it out
I use the Head %26amp; Shoulders Soft and Shiny. It works as well as any other normal shampoo. It's my conditioner (Sunsilk) that really makes the difference. But the Head %26amp; Shoulders doesn't hurt.
don't trust adds.
No I bought it for that exact reason (I don't have dandruff) and it smells good, and I guess it helps a little, but no where NEAR what they portray on the tv.
I don't know about shiny, but it really is healthy, and works great for getting rid of dandruff. I use it. It is a dandruff shampoo so......ya. I would say it works good for dry hair, makes is soft.
i tried it and didnt like it. it made my hair feel too clean and "squeaky" clean like.
Head and Shoulder's does give you that clean/dandruff-free feeling but it's not a miracle-working shampoo. I'm not sure what kind of hair you have though. If you have fine/straight hair i think Head and Shoulders is good. Personally, I have thin hair that gets weighed down easily but it's really dry, coarse, and poofy. I just started using Dove Advanced Therapy Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner about a week and a half ago and i surprisingly think it works pretty good.
I'm a firm believer in using high quality hair products. I've tried all the cheaper brands and there is no comparison to really good stuff like Redken, Tigi and Aveda.
i have short hair (about chin length)..i purchased a CHI iron in september.in addition tracks(hair extensions) and microbraids also damaged my hair.i also perm my hair every 4-5 weeks.after numerous trims and a haircut, i went from shoulder length to chin length.
i am planning on getting scalp braids and stop getting perms.i would like to grow it past my shoulders by next year(2008)...if that isnt enough time how long will it take to past my shoulders??
i would like to do this without expensive products or products ordered on the internet.i would rather things that i could do at home or purchase from a drugstore or walmart.i am young and I dont have a job!(LOL)...
can someone help me please!!!THANKYOU!!!
always deep condition and dont apply heat to your hair regularly, wrap it and then just try to use a light oil for the hair and a good conditioning grease for the scalp. if you can go natural and then after you get to the length you want, gt the perm. i mean, my hair was beneath my shoulders, i cut to my chin, then all off to only the pin curl lenght, then i cut the perm out to go natural and i've been twisting, wearing cute afros, and just doing the natural thing for going on three years now, and my natural hair is below my shoulders again, well when i blow it out it is.
ok when i decided to grow my afro american hair, i bought this book at half price books and it was really good
Hair Rules!: The Ultimate Hair-Care Guide for Women with Kinky, Curly, or Wavy Hair
http://cgi.ebay.com/Hair-Rules-The-Ultim...
its really good. if u don't want to buy the book thats fine, do these things
get regular trims for dead ends
condition with a protein deep conditioner
use a moisturizing shampoo
use a pre shampoo conditioner like olive oil shea butter, or castor oil, to prtect hair from the shampoo
put the oil in your hair put on a plastic cap and blow dry or sit under a hood dryer for 15 min, then shampoo and recondition with your regular conditioner
use coconut oil or jojoba oil for the scalp
don't use products that have petrolatum, mineral oil, or silicone (dimethicone), or wax based products
eat healhy and excercise
don't use heat more than twice a week
get a protein reconstructor.
a really cheap conditioner is cholesterol. try to find one without mineral oil or petrolatum
you dont have to stop with the perms if you dont want to cause i had the same problem and i thought that getting braids would help but it really just started to get expensive so instead i stopped adding hair of all types and just got a wash and set every two weeks[make sure you get a hair treatment] and i would wash my hair at home and use this conditioner called Queen Helene Cholesterol...its like 3 dollars from a hair store. It worked for great for me.
When i used to get relaxers i used Garnier Fructis Length and Strength. I used the separate shampoo and conditioner. It really works. I also used Profective Oil Sheen Spray. I plan on doing that again now that I'm natural.

no it does nt infact d heat in d massager, hair straightner ect damages ur hair.... 4 health hair eat lots of green vegetables, sprouts n drink a lot of water. apply oil twice or thrice a week n wash ur hair in every 2 days..... n ya do comb ur hair wit a plastic elephant comb....
no.. I cant see how it can make ur hair healthy
I use the balls of my fingers to message my hair and scalp while using a hair dressing to promote hair growth.
Why use a machine? When you have fingers.
I'm not sure that it has a big effect, but it stimulates your roots, and your hair feels softer
To answer your question-no it's not healthy, but you can get your hair colored and with the right care your hair will be fine.
If you are permanently coloring your hair the dye opens the cuticle layer of your hair to put the chemicals in your hair shaft to get the color to stay. Going lighter is more damaging to the hair than going darker since some of your natural hair pigment has to be "stripped out" during the process.
Semi and Demi Permenant colors (which wash out after a few weeks) are lessing damaging because they only coat the outer hair shaft. Problem is you can't go lighter with these colors, but you also don't have the damage or regrowth (roots).
Hilighting although it does damage your hair-it's only affecting the hairs that are being lightened which is normally less than 50% of your hair.
Healthy sleek hair isn't always the greatest hair to work with. Ruffing upr your cuticle a bit using some highlights or some color does make hair easier to manage and many times can give you the look of a whole new style or texture( without perming). Plus with all the products for color treated hair any damage from coloring is easy to take care of.
I do recommend seeing a stylist and letting him or her know your concerns about damage and the two of you together can figure out what form of coloring will give you the look you want with the least amount of damage to your hair.
NO, IT CONTAINS ALOT OF CHEMICALS THAT GO THREW THE POURS IN YOURE SCALP TO YOURE BRAIN , I WOULDNT DO IT UNLESS IT WAS NESSEARY.
No, dying your hair is very detrimental to your hair. It will dry it out and damage it in many ways, since there are many chemicals in there that kill the hair. If you must dye your hair, you should do it professionally at a salon, and after you get it dyed, you should ask your hair stylist to recommend you a shampoo that will help keep your hair in its best condition. Good luck!
no but there is certain hair dye thats based on natural contents like trees and plants that doesnt damage ur hair as much
no it's very bad because of chemicals in them just like perms are either way you go.
I'm African -American.When I use a relaxer on my hair, it is straight for a couple day and then it become a little kinky. What do I do?
putting your hair up frequently helps grow your hair. Also, when you wash it when you shower, massage your scalp. This will help your hair grow faster, naturally! I also recommend getting your hair straight permed and/or getting a oil treament. My friend got an oil treatment done and her hair became significantly more shiny and smooth!
Well..to be honest..The BEST way is to naturally grow it.:/
I recently just thinned out my own hair, after i got my own thinning shears. So, i had bunch of hairs sticking out of my head, and i had to regrow them before school starts. This is what i use, and it worked GREATTT
Doo Gro Stimulating Growth Oil
it's in a clear container with a easy flow pointed top, the solution is orange.

Hair is continuously growing and is being shed simultaneously. Home made beauty recipes based on herbs and natural ingredients help improve hair growth. Well, I get relaxers every 4-6 months. One thing I learned about growing healthy hair is that you have to take care of the inside first to sustain the outside. Meaning you have to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Drink lots of water because that will help moisturize your scalp.Get your trims regularly. Don't put alot of heat on your hair. Condition condition condition your hair. I use Aveda products and they are great on my hair. I use their damage remedy line. Take your vitamins. I also use hair vitamins as well.

I have noticed lately that my hair is dry and shedding more. Are there vitamins or certain foods that I can eat that will make my hair healthier and not fall out so much?
eat lots of well, fish. fish has a natural nutrient called omega 3 which helps to thicken the hair follicles. i used to hate fish but when i would wash my hair i noticed fat bunches of hair would just be caught all along my fingers. for a minute i thought i was going bald! but my mom told me i need to eat fish. so if u dont like sea-food , then start. i prefer sushi but most ppl are like ewww raw fish! but its extremely good. i ****-ing love sushi. but yeah eat lots of fish.
Eat more vegetables and drink lots of water. You could be having a nutritional breakdown.
lots of fruits-banannas especially-and veggies.also, you coud be shedding more when you are stressed out-think about that before you change your eating habits.also, lack of sleep is also a big factor. eat carbs, proteins, Vit D, ViT -they should do the trick.
Not knowing what you use daily in your hair makes this an almost tough question to answer. Sounds like your hair may be overprocessed and you may need a really good conditioner or hot oil treatment. Yes, there are vitamins specifically for Hair, Skin and Nails. Called of all things Hair, Skin and Nails...Walmart carries it in their vitamin section. But see a stylist and have them advise you as to what products you could use in your hair to cut down on the breakage and dryness.
i dunno about foods but vitamin e is good and try not washing ur hair as much i know i know it sounded gross to me because i am one of those people that has to wash her hair everyday and it used to be worse but i asked my stylist and she said wash it every other day if you dont use a lot of products and tthe natural oils will moisterize your hair and even make it grow faster. i also had a problem of shedding and it was any time i switch shampoo brands u might wanna take that into consideration as well

Massage your scalp once a week with warm natural oils (Aloe Vera or Coconut) targeted for hair growth. Make sure you wrap your hair (after you massaged the oil) and keep it for 2 to 3 hours. It's not the fastest solution but it's the best in the long run.
Try not to wash your hair every day, brush your hair a 100 times a day, the oil that your hair release is sometimes good for your hair so by brushing it the oil can get to the ends and at the same time stimulate your scalp
My hair is very long, down to my hips almost - I dye it black once every 4 or 5 weeks which is not good really, but I try to stick to one brand. I use L'oreal shampoo %26amp; conditioner - the red bottle which I find really works. Try usng plenty of conditioner all over your hair - %26amp; leave it on for at least one minute. You can buy serums (try charles Worthington) to put on the ends as it protects it from split ends and makes it easier to brush when wet.
Finally...when brushing your hair - start from the end parts, and brush out the knots there before working your way up to the roots.

For Frizzy hair.. these ussually work really good.. and i have some more tips at the bottom.. which are great for healthy hair... so good luck!
- Anything from the brand FrizzEase works preety awesome. So does Infusium 23 shampoos.
*Hair still frizzy? Take a curling iron to the top layers. It will only take a second, and the heat will zap the frizz out.
*1 advacado, and 1 tsp. Olive Oil. Mash the advacado, and add the olive oil. Mix. massage into hair, leave in for 20 minutes. Wash hair as you normally would. You can double this 'recipe' if your hair is exceptionally thick or long.
* Mayonnaise. Yeah, sounds pretty gross.. But it will make your hair smooth and soft. Apply it to hair, leave it in for 10-15 minutes Rinse out, wash hair as you normally would.

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.
- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.
- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.
- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.
- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.
- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.
- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.
- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!
- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.
- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.
- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.
- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.
- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.
- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.
- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.
- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.
- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.
- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!
- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.
There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.
Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.
Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.
Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.
To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.
Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!
1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.
2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:
* Beans

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER
3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.
4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.
5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.
6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.
7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.
8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.
9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.
10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

i have the straightest, thinnest hair ever! it is wicked healthy though, and im just getting sick of it!....would you suggest a loose wave for body and some curl? where is a good website to check out the different kinds of curls??
You can do a wash and wear kind of perm. Ask the hairdresser to choose the pink and orange rod to use on you. This is the great wave for thin hair, unfortunately I can't show you a picture but I do know what I'm talking about because I do it with mostly to my client with the same problem like yours. I'm a hairdresser.
One of the best ways to add body to any type of hair texture is to layer it! If you get a heavily layered cut, your hair will have a lot more bounce and body!
i just got a really bad hair cut and they cut 13 in. and i miss it!! please any pills, shampoos and anything. thanks
How To Make My Hair Grow Longer
Hairstyles Catalog
by: Damien R. von Dahlem
As I am sure you have heard, if you cut your hair frequently your hair will grow in faster, longer, and healthier.
Gobbledygook! This myth came from the observation of men's facial hair. As they shaved, the facial hair would indeed grow in thicker. Its called, 'puberty.'
This is because certain male hormones affect facial hair in that manner. They do not affect the hair on the head in the same way. Advertising
To the contrary. Male hormonal activity is what leads to hair thinning and loss on certain parts of the head, but not all. Hence the familiar balding pattern known as 'male pattern baldness.' This same hormonal activity also affects women, but not until much later in life, and in a different pattern.
Cutting your hair only makes it shorter, does not affect the growth rate one iota, and cannot determine the length that your hair will grow to. Maximum hair length is determined by the shape and width of the hair shaft, and that is determined genetically and is not alterable with current technology.
Lastly, hair is neither healthy or unhealthy. It is in fact, dead. Else, it would really hurt to cut it. It is the health of the hair follicle below the outer skin that requires nutrients for good health, and deminished adverse hormonal activity.
So, unless you have split ends or chemically damaged hair, the only need to cut your hair is for the look that you want.
A few things that you can do to ensure that your hair follicle remains healthy and your hair is undamaged, are:
1. Take an inexpensive daily multi vitamin such as 'One-A-Day' or even 'Flintstones.' Your hair likes zinc and biotin and both of the above mentioned vitmins contain ample amounts of these. Don't waste your hard earned money on 'super vitamins.' Your body only requires so many vitamins per day and simply discharges the excess. You can't put twenty gallons in a ten gallon tank. In some instances, over dosing on supplements can actually be fatal.
2. Do not over brush your hair. With every stroke you damage your hair more. Brush only as much as you need to style your hair, then stop.
3. Buy a good quality brush or comb without sharp plastic or metal ridges. This is one of the common factors leading to split ends, as is over brushing.
4. Don't be penny foolish. Buy good quality salon products. The chemicals used in many if not most over the counter shampoos and conditioners, contain very harsh ingredients such as 'ammonium laurel sulfate' which can actually dry your hair out, and cause breakage and split ends. Even worse, many contain a form of silicon, and that can be very bad for your hair.
5. Don't constrict your hair with tight bands, hats, braids and the like. These also lead to split ends and hair breakage.
Hope that helps!!!! :)
