Srunching hair tips?

I want to start scrunching my hair because since its the summer drying it with a blowdryer even on cold air is damaging it. I want to know what a good scrunching gel is or a scrunching mouse that i can use that will not make my hair frizzy. I have already tried Garnier Fructis, and Aussie. I need something that will make my hair healthier but REDUCE frizz. Please help me if you know of any good products! :-)

I don't know if your hair is wavy or curly but if it is, and you want to keep the curl, use a straightening balm. I know it sounds weird but it stops the 'poof' effect. I have curly hair and if I ever let it air dry and scrunch it I usually spray a teeny bit of hair spray in my hand (I use the pumps so it's easier to do it with than aerosol cans...) and use a bit of straightening balm. I use a ton of different products so depending on your price range...

- SunSilk straightening creme (purple bottle) for around $5 CAD

- L'Anza Healing Haircare Strait-Line Smoother Straightening Balm (10.1 fl oz for around $20 CAD)

Or... if your hair isn't totally damaged you're just worried about preventing it, try this... it's a split end repair. Kinda pricey at $18 CAD for 5oz. Matthew James Split Ends Repair 'Splitz - fix.the.splitz'

Also, you can try a gel instead of hairspray. The Herbal Essences line is amazing to keep your hair smelling good and preventing more damage from occuring. Try Herbal Essences Intense Hold Humidity Defying Gel (8.5oz for about $5CAD) It smells really good too... it has ginger flower, banana flower and cassia bark.

You can add a little bit of shine serum too, if you want to. I use Mode Miracle Serum, about $7 CAD for 3.7fl oz.

All the straightening balms and split end repairs last forever too because you don't need to use alot. Shoulder length hair can cope with about a dime size. (sometimes less)

It seems like a lot of product, I know... it takes a shot at it to get the amounts right for your hair but once you've got it, you're set to go. I usually limit myself to 2 hair products at one time... so either gel and serum, or hairspray and straightening balm... My hair always scrunches perfectly. :) Hope this helps!

Thermasilk or Sunsilk leave in spray conditioner. I know it's not a setting spray but it works on my hair and my hair is long. I spray it on the ends and scrunch it up. It works even when I don't blow dry. I just love this stuff! And it smells so good and leaves my hair shiny and soft.

It's also a great product to use to protect your hair when you do blow dry.

Hope it works for you.

You cud try Dippity-Do hair gel, it's cheap and it works well. It's best to scrunch your hair right after a shower and add the gel into it then.

Citre Shine makes the best products for frizz prone hair. Check out their Citre Shine anti-frizz serum. Before you mousse, use a dime sized amount (depending on the length of your hair you may want more or less) and rub it evenly all over your hands and then distribute through your wet hair. Then use your mousse as usual. You can also use it once your hair is dry, which works equally as well for the frizz.
