Can I dye my hair two days in a row?

I have black hair and yesterday I tried dying it a burgandy color using a level 30 developer but the result was not so great. At the top it obviously went lighter but not a burgandy light just a really ugly red and the bottoms didn't really change. I wanted to just get a dark cherry or black and dye it back to dark...can I do that today even though I just dyed it yesterday?? I have think, healthy hair...never had any problems...?

yes you just don't want to bleach it !!!

and get some deep conditioning cream...( asap)

The reason this happened is because the hair at the top is much less damaged and has less color than the hair on the bottom. This caused it to soak up the color and change quickly, while the bottom (which I'm guessing has layers of old hair color on it) didn't take at all. This is because color does not lift color, so your lighter burgandy color doesn't have the ability to lift out the old color on the ends and deposit the new color.

You need to go to a stylist at this point. You may need to have some of the color stripped, a reparative deep conditioning treatment, and then the color corrected. This CAN NOT be done by a non-professional at home. Sorry, but you're just going to have to suck it up and pay for it. If you try to fix it again yourself, it still won't look right, and then you're STILL going to end up going to a salon and paying even more because you tried to take matters into your own hands. Just save yourself the time, money, and damage to your hair and make an appointment today.

Good Luck!
