i am a girl in my teens. i have thick brown wavy hair which is absolutely unmanagable due to its excessive waviness. i really wanna get my hair straightened. is it healthy? please help!!

In a word no......straightning for instance everyday Desi girl will eventually dry your hair out but however if you have unmanagable hair like moi then my suggestion is to invest also in a few helpful products for your hair.

Currently there are loads of different serums, gels and sprays available and might seem frustrating to know exactly what your looking for but i suggest going for a shampoo and conditioner without perfumed substances in it....im from the UK and would say the SIMPLE products are pretty good. They have no pefume or colours which so many of these top products have these days.

As well as a decent shampoo and conditioner i would invest in a tub of a intensive moisurising hair product which you usually only use once or twice a week, leave on for 5 mins then rinse out - not only does it make your hair appear shiny and tangle free, but it sticks back in the moisture that you lose by Straightning products.

I could go on and on, but lastly if you want to go for a straightning product - my opinion would be to invest in the GHD Straightning range.

Ok there a tad pricey at �?0.00 + in the United Kingdom, but i think from my experience that they do not dry your hair out as much as these reasonably priced ones out on the market - but hey thats my opinion!!

its not exactly healthy but it doesnt kill your hair either...your hair does look better and not that it harms your roots, the new hair that grows is perfectly healthy. so its worth taking the risk coz it really makes you look nice.

u can straighten your hair it's not too healthy but you have to be extra careful with what you use because your hair can start falling out

but you should let a professional do it
