No it is not healthy. I will hurt your hair, but the nice thing is that new hair grows in to replace abused hair. Get a good hair straighening job and it will do less damage. Nothing is permanant really, but I know what you mean. It is healthy to take vitamins and process your hair the least.

It stresses out your hair, but if you put conditioner on your hair, your hair will bounce back. Mine did and it looks better than ever!

no chemical is good for ur hair but it really isnt permanent it stays basically as long as a perm would possible 4mo -6mo tops and thats depending on ur hair and the texture of it. i know its a pain to flat iron your hair but it really is the best way to straighten it but make sure u use a thermal iron spray on it to avoid damage from the heat

It's not exactly permanent, but I understand what your talking about. The chemical kind of straightening. Anything can be bad for you if you don't do it right. You'll have to have it done when your new-growth comes back in and becomes noticeable. If you follow the directions or go to a salon that knows what they are doing then you shouldn't have any problems. Make sure you condition your hair often and take extra care of it. Wash it with special shampoos and conditioners designed to help with chemically treated hair. I use a straightener on mine and it has never given me any problems. I have pretty healthy, beautiful hair!!!

well no chemicals can be healthy for your hair but i am getting my hair chemically straighted next Sunday and i don't see y u shouldn't do it but just don't use a home kit get it professionally done cuz if its not done right it could seriously screw up your hair!!!!
